The D4FD is Hyundai's 1.7 CRDi diesel used widely across the range throughout the 2010s. A reliable unit when serviced correctly, but we regularly rebuild these engines following oil pump failure and spun big-end bearings — often the result of extended oil change intervals or injector-related fuel dilution.
